The SC/ST/OBC Forum for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of Swami Shraddhanand College has called the matter listed as Supplementary Agenda No 11 of the Governing Body Meeting scheduled to be held on 27th April, 2016. Item No 11 says . "Discussion on initiatives to promote education among SC/ST/OBC teachers", as outrageous and has demanded its withdrawal.
The matter has been sent by Sh Alkesh Sharma, Treasurer, Governing Body.
" The SC/ST/OBC Forum for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of Swami Shraddhanand College is shocked and anguished over derogatory use of words, meant to humiliate and harass the SC/ST/OBC by saying that the Governing Body will "educate" them or promote their 'education'. This sort of wording reflects the manuwadi mind set of some of the members. Sh Alkesh Sharma, who is himself an employee of the Delhi Cantonment Board, under Ministry of Defense, Government of India, and so he is expected to be more sensitive towards displaying respect to all the sections of the society.
The SC/ST/OBC Forum for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of Swami Shraddhanand College demands that such agenda be immediately withdrawn and Sh Sharma should render an unconditional apology."
